Question: I have just come down with flu - congested nose and siscoloured mucus in my nose...can celestamine be used for treatment?

Celestamine is a combination of betametasone (steroid) and dexochlorpheniramine (anti histamine). It can help with your symptoms.

You can consider adding a decongestant to further help with the nasal symptoms eg phenylephrine.

If you get a wet cough, a mucolytic would help to break up the mucus eg bisolvan, mucomyst or guaifenesin.

Fluids and rest are also very important.
