Can Brovana Be Taken While On Theophylline, Flovent And Combivent?
Question: I am on a lot of medications for COPD including Theophylline, Flovent, Combivent, Spiriva. Now my doctor wants to add Brovana. The instructions on Brovana say not to take with ANY other LABA. Are either Combivent or Spiriva LABA drugs?

Spiriva (Tiotropium) is an anticholinergic bronchodilatator.
Combivent is a combined inhaler with an anticholinergic (Ipratropium) and short acting bronchodilatator (Ventolin).
Brovana itself is a LABA (Arformoterol).
In my opinion you should use Brovana + Spiriva. It is a combination approved in 2016 by European Respiratory Society (GOLD update in COPD).
Please discuss with your doctor about the Theophyline, it is not the first choice, I'm sure s/he'll understand you as a patient and your symptoms as well.
