Can Albuterol Be Taken With Cough Syrup For Post Infectious Bronchitis?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 May 2016
Question: Hi I just went to see my doctor 2/22/2016for body aches, fever, chills, sinus infection, and severe chest congestion He told me that I have the flu and prescribed Tamiflu and Cherratussin Cought syrup. While the fever, body aches and chills went away, the sinus infection and chest congestion stayed. I went to see my doctor again today and we did chest X-ray ( which did not show pneumonia or fluids) and labs ( WBC with normal limits). He then listened to my lungs and said that I have bronchial spasm/asthma. He then prescribed Prednisone (6days dose) ,Albuterol inhaler and Tessalon Perles, and gave me a breathing treatment in office which seemed to help significantly for about 3 hours. Now Neither is helping me with my cough. can I use my Albuterol inhaler with Cherratussin cough syrup?
