Brief Answer:
Do take the medicine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
I have seen the laparoscopy report. You had moderate endometriosis. Now in culture since there is growth of mycobacterium it is best to take the treatment for the infection. Improper treatment can cause fibrosis and adhesions again in the pelvic cavity around the uterus and ovaries thus causing difficulty in conception.
It is best to start taking AKT4 and continue with it as suggested by your doctor.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Treatment is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You have MOTT infection. It does not need any treatment if it is asymptomatic. In your case since there were adhesions in the pelvic cavity it is best to take the treatment as it can improve your chances of conception.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Natural conception is less likely.

Detailed Answer:
You can take AKT4 for MOTT infection. It is safe. Since both of your tubes are blocked and your husband's sperm motility is also low, it is best to try IVF for conception. Natural conception is not likely.
You can get the HSG test done with infection. There is no harm in it. After taking AKT 4 for few months you can plan for IVF after consulting an infertility specialist.
Do consult an infertility specialist for an early and best treatment.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
No infection present.

Detailed Answer:
The report that you have attached now shows that tubercular and non tubercular bacilli are not detected in the sample. This rules out the chances of any infection. Thus no further treatment for infection is needed based on this report.

Hello Doctor

My culture report states Mott infection.should i take akt4 for 6 months

Should I take akt4 for 2 months and then Akt3 for 4 months
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Rakhi Tayal (46 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Culture report is more accurate.

Detailed Answer:
The positive culture report is more accurate. In that case it is better to start with AKT 4 for 2 months and then AKT 3 for 4 months. Do consult your infertility specialist before starting any of these treatments. IVF will be started after the treatment is finished.
Regards.
