Brief Answer: yes. Detailed Answer: Hi. Thanks for your query. Yes in this case baby could have A positive blood group. When one parent is AB+ and other O+ Baby could be A+,/B+/AB+/O+. Hope I have answered your query. God bless..

I know that AB+ and O+ can produce A+ but here the case is A2B+ve, the A2 antigens are type3/4 A antigen and A+ is only A antigen. I have seen in an web site that A2+ve blood cannot be given to A+ve since both antigen are different. so consider this case again.

Brief Answer: see below. Detailed Answer: Thanks for your follow up. Blood group antigens are genetically determined with antigen controlled by two alleles, with A and B alleles codominant to the O allele. There are about 20 different subgroups of group A . A1 equals approximately 80% of the entire A blood type population and A2 makes up the remaining 20% under current data. A1 alleleis dominant to the A2 allele and occurs about 5 times more frequently. A child inherits one allele from each parent. So in your case since your blood group is A2B and mom blood group is O positive(OO) so in this scenerio the the possible blood groups of child could be . -A2O: phenotype A;50% -BO:phenotypeB:50% For any medicolegal issues I would suggest expert advice or DNA testing. hope this helps. take care..

So the child possible blood group is A2+Ve or B+Ve, If the child blood group is A+ve then the child doesn't belong to the father. Please confirm. Thanks XXXX
