Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

The MRI scan findings that you have shared are suggestive of cervical spondylosis. The disc lies between two vertebrae and it gets protruded with normal wear and tear of the spine. This protruded disc causes compression of the nerve roots causing pain.

In your case, there is no foraminal stenosis and no nerve root compression.

- You should wear a cervical collar.
- Avoid bending your neck at the abnormal position for a long time, like on the computer
- Taking warm compression with the help of a water bag over your neck.
- Take a good analgesic like the combination of tramadol with paracetamol.
- Test for levels of vitamin B12, If low do take Vitamin B12 supplements.
- Take the help of a physiotherapist who will be able to give your relief by intermittent traction, ultrasonic therapy, etc.

I hope this answers your query.

In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

Wishing you good health.

Thank for this. Is this bad enough to require surgery and would massage therapy be helpful?
