Children in this age group usually tend to put things into mouth and are predisposed to repeated infections, and will easily catch infections like cold from others as their immunity is not developed.

Along with that, there will be some amount of pain when the teeth erupt.

If you have been exclusively breastfeeding, then the chances of this being anything serious is less.

Please observe her carefully, and notice her feeding frequency and enthusiasm for feeding, and sleeping pattern.

Please do not give anything else other than breast milk till 6 months of age.

Continue breastfeeding.

If she refuses to breastfeed, or if she sleeps excessively, or if her feet and hands are colder than her tummy, and if she continues to cry and does not become quite even after trying to console her, then you must take her to the local paediatrician and get her examined to rule out infections.
