Brief Answer:
Why not Amlodipine, Labetelol is also fine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I guess you have had bad reaction to losartan, right? So usual next choice is calcium channel blockers like Amlodipine 5 mg once or twice a day depending upon the blood pressure. Labetelol may be used but not a first like drug now a days. If bp response is not adequate then labetelol may be increased gradually like 200 mg twice daily and further adding 100 mg every 2-3 days according to need upto maximum of 2000 to 2400 daily. Also, need to monitor bp and pulse rate.
You should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week if possible for better medicine titration and make a chart if it. Regular exercises like brisk walking or walking according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 days a week.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

thank you for your reply. i think i had a bad reaction to labetelol. i had numbness, severe sweating , low blood sugar. i looked at the pharmacy list of adverse reactions and low blood sugar was among them. i am diabetic. Would another medicine be a better choice. it seems that this medicine does not work well with my condition. can i stop taking this medicine without complications. i have only taken it for 2 days.

Brief Answer:
Yes, you may stop it

Detailed Answer:
Yes, you may stop it. But, need to alternative medicine. Losartan is a good choice and infact a drug of choice in diabetics. So you can stop labetelol and monitor bp. Have Losartan according to bp readings. I guess you have 25 mg losartan, so you can have it tomorrow if you stop labetelol today. If you are already having losartan then dose may be increased to 50 mg and 25 mg..
All the best.
