Brief Answer:
Should be avoided.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Promethazine and Provigil are used for different purposes.
As such there is no known interaction between the two.
But since Promethazine causes sedation and Provigil promotes wakefulness, so there is no point in taking them together, as the effect of both of them would be counter acted by each other.
So, should be avoided.
I would be able to help you better, if you could tell me that for what purpose you want to take both of the medications.
Usually i see such question in my practise when a person who is on Provigil for sleep apnea needs to take an anti emetic or anti allergic medications.
Let me know, your requirement, i would help you further.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
