Posted on Thu, 22 Dec 2016
Question: I recently read in an article on webMD about a new therapy for asthma using capsaicin.
that was supposed to reduce the chemical that causes airway reaction by half. Can you please give me a list of doctors who are using this therapy or where these experiments are going on. I have had a bad to awful reaction to every asthma med I've taken..always getting the worst side effects of every anti asthma med..now experienceing skin atrophy from albuterol

Brief Answer:
Better to ask with patients who are taking capsaicin.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Well, honestly speaking, there is no such list of doctors available who practice capsaicin.
And even if there are doctors who are practicing this won't tell you openly as capsaicin therapy is not US FDA approved for asthma.
So if you really want to know then better to ask patients who are using capsaicin.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
