Are There Any Interactions Between Chromium And Anti Depressant Drugs?

Question: I used a product that contains a large amount of chromium and am wondering if this might of had an effect on my antidepressant. I am not sure if there is a direct connection but most recently I have seen some statements that this supplement can react badly with some antidepressants. I found myself to be irritable, very tired and anti social. I am thinking there might be a connection. I currently am prescribed serzone.

However, chromium itself can cause mood changes, dizziness and impaired judgement as side effects.

The symptoms which you are experiencing may be due to consumption of product containing large amount of chromium.
