Brief Answer:
It is throat infection and needs proper management!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns today and will put my best efforts to get you out of this situation.

It seems to be infection of the throat more than tonsils actually. Your Uvula also seems to be involved in the infection and all of this makes swallowing difficult and painful to a varying degree depending upon the severity of disease.

What you have to do is, go for an in-person evaluation by an Otorhinolarngologist for thorough management. He will have the benefit of physical examination and may also order some tests if needed e.g CBC with ESR and Differentials, throat swab histopathology Lab test, Sputum analysis and culture/sensitivity if needed.

If I was your treating physician and it was diagnosed as Tonsillo-Pharyngitis I must have prescribed you Azithromycin antibiotic if not allergic to, plus:
Ibuprofen after meals.
Ebastine.
If you are suffering with cough, cough syrup with Guaifenesin in it.
(Your Physician may prescribe you with oral corticosteroids if needed according to the physical examination and assessment).
Kindly do saline lukewarm water gargling 2-3 times a day.

Keep a warm mist vaporizer in your room for better results. Rest assured and keep a bland diet. you need to take plenty of fluids including clean drinking water.

Avoid spices and fried, flavored and junk foods. Avoid allergens like fomites, animal dander, dust and air pollutants.

Brief Answer:
There is no need for antibiotics then !!!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for adding details in follow up. I am happy to assist you.

If you have no cough it means yor lungs are OK and no lower respiratory tract infection. It is a good sign of recovery in this situation.

Another superb indicator here for you is that you have no fever and this means that you have no Bacterial infection and need no antibiotics.

This is a viral infection and that's too almost in the resolution stages. Such a viral infection needs no antibiotics and this is Self-Limiting. Takes 7-10 or 14 days for thorough recovery in most of the patients.

You need to follow the instructions aforementioned including plenty of water intake and taking proper rest.
