Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not related to acute HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to HCM.

You had protected vaginal sex with a prostitute and the condom was broken then the risk of getting HIV is there if the girl was HIV positive. It is also true that HIV is relatively hard to transmit and the risk of HIV transmission from female to male during vaginal sex is only 0.04% so no need to worry much.

As far as your symptoms are concerned they are not related to acute HIV. They might be due to some other infection either viral or bacterial for which you can consult your local physician and go for some investigation to isolate the cause and take treatment as per the advice.

Your HIV test after 8 days is also negative so don't worry much because the risk is very less in your case. As your friend I will also advice you to stay away from such unsafe or high risk practices to prevent the future risk of HIV or other STD. Get tested again after one month with 4th generation test to be 100% confident. If still any doubt left you can ask me and I am always here to help you.

Thank You

Thank you doc

So let me ask you , the acute HIV infection happens 2-4 weeks XXXXXXX , after infection.

I also read another posting from a different individual that had similar situation with condom breaking . The doctor said that if he got infected even if girl was HIV positive that it would be his first case in his career , and like you he was a HIV specialist so I have to assume he deals with these cases on daily bases .
So , my point is if you doctors say it's so hard
To get HIV , then if I use condoms on all girls I sleep with , even if a condom breaks occasionally then it seems like it's not that big of a deal .

Have you seen any cases of HIV infection
Just from one time unprotected sex ?

Brief Answer:
The possibility of getting HIV from one time unprotected sex is very less.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

You had truly said that the possibility of getting HIV from one time unprotected sex is very less but still having multiple sexual partners is high risk for HIV so I advice you to stay away from such unsafe practices.

The acute HIV infection happens within 2-4 weeks after the infection so don't worry much. Be relaxed and move ahead in life. Wishing you happy and healthy life.

Thank You
