Are Small Firm Lumps On Breast A Cause Of Concern?
Question: ,recently i found a lump in my breast on the right side its very small firmish but when I apply pressure it does have a rubbery texture (squishy) would be the best word to describe it.. but in all honesty I have 2 of these already in my right breast, but when I lie back I can not locate the lump..iit seems to disappear, so is this a good sign?? have had several ultrasound scans in the past on my breasts and all of come back as normal breast tissue..maybe im just paranoid.. my breasts are lumpyish anyway, I just fear these lumps. Im 23 and just concerned I have made an appointment with my General practitioner

Considering the way you describe it ,most likely it is just a cyst or might be normal breast tissue. Fibroadenoma is another option ,which is a benign finding.
The fact that you have two other lumps with such characteristic ,the fact that you are only 23 years old and have done several breast ultrasounds in the past with normal result ,makes more likely for it to be a benign lump.
Usually lumps with malign nature are very firm ,hard in touch , located in the upper outer part of the breast.Since breast cancer develops slowly ,it would have appeared in your examinations (if you have done such examination last 6 months).
In my opinion you don't need to worry.I would suggest to see your GP and examine it ,just to rest your mind and be 100% sure.

Yes thank you for your follow up..I have got an appointment with my GP next week..I do have some minor aching in this breast only slight but I dont know if its because im constantly checking or if its psychological maybe?. And aa I mentioned earlier if Im lying down I can't locate the lump is that normal..I mean if It was serious would it stand out?.. your help is much appreciated

Thank you again for your advice..was just wondering if these lumps can feel a bit large its like a squidgy ball if that makes sense firm but smooth and squidgy and a smaller one when I feel it lying back its like an air bubble?
