Are Nausea, Sore Throat And Fatigue Signs Of An HIV Infection?

Question: Hi...
I have had some encounters with female escorts. 2 years ago, I had sex with 2 different escorts on 2 different occasions. Both times oral sex on me without a condom and vaginal sex with a condom. Stupidly I did not get tested for STIs as I never had any symptoms ever.
5 days ago, I made another dreadful mistake and slept with another female escort, again oral on me without protection and vaginal sex with a condom. I have started to show some symptoms and am extremely worried.
1) can HIV symptoms appear after 4/5 days? I have nausea, sore throat and tiredness. My bladder and testicles also feel fairly irregular with small dull pain from time to time.
2) say I had an STI from previous encounter and did not know, does this increase my chance of contracting HIV even though I used a condom for vaginal sex?

Please help me, I am extremely worried...I know I now have to wait to get HIV tested, but I worry all day and all night. What is the quickest I can get tested?

Thanks
doctor

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not related to HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
You had protected vaginal intercourse. So you are safe. Even in the presence of a previous STI, protected exposure's risk has not increased. Oral unprotected exposure carries a low risk for HIV as per CDC, XXXXXXX
HIV gets established in human white blood corpuscles only after 72 hours after the exposure in the presence of an infection. Earliest symptoms can occur with HIV disease only after 4-6 weeks after the infection and not earlier. So your symptoms aware not due to HIV at all. Not to worry.

Hi Dr XXXXXXX thanks for your helpful response. I have another few questions i hope you can help with. I have had dizziness and headaches from day 5 every day until now (day 9)...i also now have a sore groin but no swollen lymph nodes. Are these symptoms still not be be worried about?
Also, i keep going back to that day and worrying about the condom. It looked fine when i was finished from what i remember but im worried in case there was any chance of a small tear or leaking that would not be seen to the naked eye. When a condom fails, is it obvious? Can a condom suffer tiny tears or does the whole this fall apart when a failure happens?
I am also considering getting a 10day early HIV test in the next few days...would you recommend this in my case? Thanks

Brief Answer:
HIV PCR 3-4 weeks after the risky contact will be reliable.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Any symptoms occur earlier than 2-3 weeks could not be due to HIV. Sore in the groin (uncovered by condom) could possibly be either due to STD or non STD. All the condoms are underwent quality control. So not to have any doubt about pores in condom. If there is tear occurs during coitus, it will be obvious when you withdrew your organ after the intercourse. Don't get confused yourself.
The preferred HIV test for earlier detection is P24 antigen test or HIV DNA PCR for HIV 1 and RNA PCR for HIV 2 Separately, that too, more reliable and conclusive after 3 weeks, though can be detected earlier as early as a week.
