Question: Dear Dr, I have already in touch with you. However I am still getting fatigue , weak and White patches on my tongue . My cmia hiv test came negative after 82 day of potential exposure. I have done hair transplant 3 month before my sexual exposure. My doubt is, due to hair transplant my immune may supp
ressed and formation of antibody getting late. What is your suggestion? During morning I am getting tingling sensation on my palm and sole , up to what month I will test for hiv . I am frequently getting muscle twitching throuout my body. I am getting all the symptoms? Please Dr suggest me where I will do my hiv check up accurately.

Dr XXXX sir , please reply, I am eagerly waiting.

Brief Answer:
Hair transplantation not cause immunosuppression. HIV 1 rued out already

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

Negative CMIA test 82 days after your ? risk activity once again ruled out the possibility of HIV 1 and also 2 infection. Antigen part of the 4th generation Combo CMIA test would not get affected by immunosuppression of any kind, only antibody formation would likely be delayed. Moreover hair transplantation would not result in immunosuppression as such, if you are on some drugs like steroids or cylosporin, then there is a possibility of delay in antibody formation and it could affect the interpretation of HIV 2 infection (rare possibility) and not the HIV 1 infection( commonest possibility) as we had verified with antigen detection tests.
Once again I assure you that you have remote risk for HIV and your symptoms (Tingling sensation of palms and soles along with muscle twitching) are not related to HIV at all.
.Get well soon by getting treatment from a good physician.

Sir, please go through my old thread ( exposure on 7th sept 2015) . As I have already told you that after 22 days of my exposure I got throat infection and flu like feelings for approximately 28days. After that I got muscle pain, tingling sensation on my palm and sole, weight loss, Fatigue and tiredness. Always there is a sound coming from my stomach. During morning some times I am feeling very hot. Since two months I am taking only rest but not feeling well due to fatigue. Muscles of all over the body getting pain. I already I have crossed my 12th week. Today is my 86 day of exposure. Still I am getting fatigue . More ever there is no energy in my body.i am always in bed. Is my 82 day CMIA hiv test conclusive? Or I will need more testing ?

Brief Answer:
Need for another HIV test is unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
I am quite aware of your past history and complaints. Your negative CMIA Test on 82 days is almost conclusive. No further test for HIV is necessary. Consult your physician for your present complaints. Get well soon. If your consultant feels for another test for HIV, then you can go for it. In my opinion it is not necessary.

Dear sir, please clarify some of my doubts. 1. What is the window period for only antibody test ? 2. If I will go for only antibody test on 90th day of my exposure from Dr lal path lab and srl diagnostic, is it conclusive? 3. If I will go for CMIA hiv test on 90th day of my exposure from Dr lal path lab or srl diagnostic, is it conclusive? 4. Should I do other STD check up? 5. What other STD can shows the symptoms as described by me previously. 6. Do you have come across any situation where a 82 day negative hiv test came positive later? 7. Previously I have told you that I have seen a paper on her room written as STD and some medicine prescribed for that . 8. Generally std in sex worker means ...hiv what I am gusseing ! What is your suggestion?

Brief Answer:
HIV tests in Lal Path and SRL are highly reliable

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back
1. Window period for HIV is 6-8 weeks.
2.lal path and SRL both are highly reliable labs
3. Testing for HIV in the above labs by 90 days will rule out both HIV 1 and 2 infection beyond any doubt.
4.I had not come across any case Negative by 82 days becomes positive by 90 days
5. No STD manifest with such symptoms.
6. STD in sex worker means anything among 30+ STDs and not only to HIV.
7. No STD transmitted through washing in a common bucket and no other test is necessary for you

Dear sir,

1.window period for only antibody test is 3 month as per CDC. Previously you told me 12 weeks but now you are saying that 6 to 8 weeks.
2 . it is very sad that you are ignoring my symptoms and saying that no STD manifests such symptoms
3. I do not know whether my condom is broken or not at that night , but I am getting all the symptoms.
4. Being a healthy person I have never felt like this before. Still fatigue and tiredness are there.
5. I do not know whether sir you are answering my questions or some one else( your representative ). it is very sad.
6. Let me clear my doubt sir, Immunochromatography hiv test is which generation test and after how many weeks of exposure it will give accurate result.
7. Where can I get hiv elisa test ?

Also there is another doubt , hiv acute symptoms stays how many weeks ?
Immunochromatography hiv test is which generation test ?

Brief Answer:
As per available results you are HIV free.Without positive test HIV unlikel

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

1.Window period for HIV is 6-8 weeks only. It may sometimes be extended up to 12 weeks.
2. I am not ignoring your symptoms. STDs are not responsible for the same. Your physician who examines you have to fix the diagnosis.
3. Symptoms can not occur in HIV infection with negative blood test like CMIA COMBO test.
4.Once again your physician will answer to this point.
5. I assure you that your symptoms are unlikely to be due to HIV/STD.
6. COMBO test are 4th generation test (including Chromatography) and antigen part will be conclusive by 3-4 weeks and antibody part will be detecting the disease by 8 weeks on wards and consider conclusive by 12 weeks.
7. HIV ELISA test is available in any bigger laboratories.

HIV acute symptoms will settle by 3-4 weeks.
Your CMIA test is a combo test and belongs to 4th generation.
I can extend my opinion on the basis of the history and the laboratory results only.
