Are Dry Mouth, Drooling And Night Sweat Signs Of Mini Stroke?

default
Posted on Thu, 13 Sep 2018
Question: hello,I hav continual dry mouth daily. I think due to all the medications I take, At night while slepping I have profuse drooling. Wetting my pillowcase and night shirt.
I have had a stroke in 2009 and have vascular disease ongoing since 2010.
I also continually suffer from symptoms that go with having had a stroke. Is it possible I have had a mini stroke? would the drooling symptoms be attached to that?

Brief Answer:
Due to low sodium levels.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I do not think that you had a mini stroke and do not think the drooling to be correlated. The dry mouth is possibly due to low sodium levels (particularly intracellular).

Taking plenty of ORS (oral rehydration solution) and fluids should help.

Hope I have answered your query.
