Thank you. Can it cause delusional thinking? That happened to me, and I think it was the hypo parathyroid condition I have. I'm too embarrassed to talk to my doctor about this.

Brief Answer:
Psychic symptoms may be caused by high calcium level.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
The mnemonic "stones, bones, abdominal moans, and psychic groans" describes the constellation of symptoms and signs of hypercalcemia.
In fact, The presentation in a patient with hypercalcemia varies with how fast and how far the calcium level rises, as well as the sensitivity of the individual to elevated calcium levels.
Anyway, if the symptoms improve with the correction of the calcium level, it will be verified that they were caused by high calcium.
If they persist, another cause should be tried to find out. Do not hesitate to tell all the symptoms to your treating physician, it may help him a lot in making the diagnosis.
Wish you good health!

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
