Question: Hello, I"m a male who had unprotected oral sex with a female stripper 16 days ago. She performed oral on me. I started having burning on my buttocks and anus also burning on the tip of my penis. The encounter lasted 30 seconds and was a single incident I do have a history of prostate infections. Do you think i contracted a std? If so which one? I have no blisters or marks whats so ever. I just took a 8 panel test. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Orsl sex is a risk factor for STDs

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

i have gone through your query and i have understood your concern.
I don't think burning sensation on buttocks and anus is due to this particular sexual act, however burning at tip of penis might be a symptom of urethritis.

Unprotected oral sex is a risk factor for all STDs like herpes, gonorrhea, chamydia, syphilis, Hiv etc.
Moreover, STDs may not present with signs or symptoms soon after a risky sexual contact therefore i suggest that you get tested by appropriate lab tests at appropriate intervals to rule out all possible STDs.

Brief Answer:
I suggest appropriate screening test

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

In general risk is considered to be very low with Oral sex for partner receiving oral sex.

Nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) test on urine Or simply known as Urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia, is accurate after 7 days and thereafter.
So an 8 day test can betaken ad conclusive for gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Bactrim contains combination of trimethoprom and sulphamethoxazole. It is not an effective drug for syphilis, chlamydia Or yeast.

As a precautionary measure I would suggest that you should get screened for all STD's including genital herpes, syphilis, Hiv.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia have been already excluded.

Minor burning sensation could be due to soaps etc that you may be using to clean the delicate skin of glans.
Soaps can get through urethral opening and cause burning sensation. Avoid soaps. Wait and see how it goes over the next day or so.

Unless there are clear signs or symptoms of an STD like urethral discharge, genital erosions, ulcer, burning on passing urine etc there is no need for any empirical treatment.
However, if any of these signs or symptoms appear you must present yourself for examination by a venereologist.

Moreover, if STD screening tests reveals an infection it should be appropriately dealt with later on.

Screening for Hiv, syphilis and genital herpes can be done earliest at 1 month after a risky sexual contact.

For HIV i would suggest an HIV DUO test at 1 month. It is highly specific and sensitive.
For syphilis an RPR test can be done at 1 month.

Results at 1 month for Hiv and syphilis are very suggestive but testing for Hiv and Syphilis should be repeated at 3 months for a conclusive diagnosis.

For genital herpes I would suggest an ELISA for Hsv type 1 and type 2 (IgG and IgM).
This can be done at 4 weeks and then repeated again at 12 weeks for a conclusive result.

In the mean time if you develop any signs or symptoms of an STD you should consult a venereologist.

Avoid getting sexually involved with your wife till you are declared clean.
