Brief Answer:
No chance of pregnancy. get USG, rule out PCOS.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1) First of all do not panic or get frustrated.

2) This is what I could get from your history- After taking Unwanted pill on 5th March, you had 1.5 days bleeding on 20th March and 3 days bleeding on 29th April.

With the amount of hormones in Unwanted tablet, withdrawal bleeding can be erratic. It can be early or delayed, scanty or heavy. Some women can get bloated feeling, tummy upset, nausea.

3) As per your history, repeated urine tests were negative and even blood beta HCG test was negative, YOU CLEARLY ARE NOT PREGNANT.

4) Lastly, about your irregular cycles. I will suggest to get a good USG test done, to know volume and echo texture of both the ovaries along with routine USG findings. This will help to rule out PCOS-Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome as a cause for irregular cycles.

I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you good health.
With regards

Brief Answer:
Now wait for the Periods. Usg will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

If you have not done sex activity after the bleeding on 29th April, then there is no chance of pregnancy at all.

The two tablets that you are mentioning are trade names of the tablets. Mostly they can be Estrogen and Progesterone tablets. They need to be taken sequentially. As you have already taken those tablets I will suggest you to wait for the onset of periods.

Once again , USG will be of help, then you can start with rational treatment to rregularise the cycle as well as it will give you contraceptive advantage.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.

I think I should go for beta-hcg-test once again. So my concern is as follows:-
Since I have taken Estil-Progestil,Will they affect the qunatity of HCG?
If test is negative should I assume that I am not pregnant or should I go for further more reliable test to detect pregnancy if Yes then what are those tests?? as I have heard that blood test does not detect ecotopic, cryptic, chemical pregnancy.
If test is positive what that's mean?
Once I am assured that there is nothing to worry then I will go for ultrasound for further-treatment.
I have not done any kind of sexual activity after the 4-5th March.

Brief Answer:
Can repeat HCG test.Yes it is reliable.Do not worry. Things will be fine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

once again thanks for reverting back.

1) You can very well get blood beta HCG test done again.

2) It is not affected by the pills that you have taken.

3) As per your history, that there was no sex activity after 4-5thMarch, the test is most likely going to be negative.
Blood beta HCG is the most reliable and specific test to detect presence of pregnancy.
It indicates only presence of hormone HCG secreted by pregnancy tissue (Chorionic villi/ placenta), anywhere in the body.

4) There are certain other rare conditions apart from pregnancy in which beta HCG test is positive other than pregnancy. But let's not divert our discussion there. Let's focus to rule out pregnancy by doing blood HCG test.

5) With negative result, it will get down your anxiety levels.
In that case just wait for the menses to start or induce with progesterone group of medicines as discussed earlier.

Thanks for the valuable feedbacks provided from history point of view.
It was indeed pleasure to answer your queries.

I hope this answer helps you. Wish you a great health.

Hi Doctor as I earlier told you that I had estil and progestil Tablet from 7-10 July I had light-bleeding on 15th-17 April (may be periods). On 18th July I had headache, nausea, weekness and mild-constipation till now and once vomiting also(only once). I want to mention here that I am taking krimson-35 tablet(Cyproterone Acetate and Ethinyloestradiol) one tablet daily(prescribe by doctor) form 18th July onwards. I was very much confused now so I took a beta-hcg total blood test on 25th July which was less then 1.20(negative). My doctor gave me following medicine (calpol, becasoul, feronia,Ob cal) I started these tablets from yesterday night, till then there is frequent urination, I am feeling heavy-stomach,mild-headache,nausea,weekness. I have heard about some cases of ecotopic-pregnancy and cryptic pregnancy. Still what are the chances of pragnancy there? Kindly give advice. Does pregnancy occurs even negative beta-hcg test?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar (5 hours later)
Brief Answer:
No pregnancy. Symptoms due to Krimson, no chance of Ectopic pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

As you have got your periods after the treatment you were not pregnant in the last cycle. And now you have started in Tab Krimson. This will help to regularise your periods and also offer you contraceptive effects.

Symptoms that you are having are seen many times in women who start taking these pills . Also , Iron preparation that you have recently started can cause such stomach upsets.

I will suggest you take prescription from your doctor for anti emetics and antacids, to be preferably taken half an hour before the meals. Also , you can with hold Iron preparation for a weeks time.

Negative beta HCG test is confirmatory to rule out pregnancy. Even in case of Ectopic pregnancy or Cryptic pregnancy, beta HCG test comes positive, although values are very less and do not rise as compared to normal pregnancy. So both these conditions are also ruled out.

I hope this answer helps you

Brief Answer:
No pregnancy with negative beta HCG.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

As blood beta HCG test is negative, and you are having Tab Krimson, pregnancy is not an issue.

You can take Tab Combiflam for fever. Also, drink plenty of water in the day.

I hope this answer helps you.

Thanks.
