Are Tobramycin And Ciprofloxacin Right Medication For Eye Infection?

Question: aft er taking Tobramycin for 5 days and Ciprofloxacin for 5 days, I still have pus from my left eyes and my doctor insist I had no infection. They advice me use warm compass twice a day and Systane Balance 4 times a day. Do you think my infection will go away eventually.

According to me you have been receiving correct treatment. But yes I would suggest you to get discharge test done for gram staining and culture sensitivity for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria to rule out any persistence of infection. Based upon the test results you must take any further treatment otherwise not required. Maintain ocular hygiene and put eye lubricant.
