Brief Answer:
I don't prescribe chlorpheniramine and phenylephrine in neonate

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for choosing this platform

Delcon drop contains phenylephrine a decongestant and chlorpheniramine an antiallergic. It is better to avoid these medication in neonate(1st month of life).
Taxim O drop contains cefixime an antibiotic and it can be given safely in this age.
Cold without fever(usually not due to infection) in this age causes nasal blockade and it gets relieved by nasal saline drop.
Antibiotic is needed in case of infective origin of cough.
In neonate if infection is suspected it should be treated and investigated properly.
I wont get worried if there is no fever or breathing difficluty, baby is accepting feeds well and is otherwise active and playful.
You may give nasal saline drop one drop in each nostril four to six times a day to relieve the nasal blockade.
If there is breathing problem, any feeding difficulty I would suggest you to consult your doctor again for revaluation.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Regards
