Question: 3 months ago I used to have one gulp of vomiting after eating and little shortness of breath too. And after 1 month I am normal...Later I used to have burping..Now I am having shortness of breath, sensation of not getting enough air from nose, some what thicker mucus of mixed yellow type of tint and whitish color from throat but then no cough. I have noticed vertical ridges on my nails.
Actually I am worried.
what might be the issue?

Brief Answer:
It can be an acid reflux

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
The symptoms are typical of acid reflux or gastritis. As a first line management you can take over the counter available antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief. Avoid spicy foods and sleep in a position where your head end is slightly elevated to prevent reflux.
The ridges on the nails are unrelated and can be a part of age aging process or vitamin deficiency.
If symptoms persists you might require an endoscopy.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

From one month I don't have vomiting and burping..I only have shortness of breath and feeling very mild pain sometimes under ribs and around shoulder blade. Is this anything related with lungs?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely related to lungs.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Acid reflux can cause chest pain and mimic lung diseases.
It is unlikely related to the lungs.
You can continue antacid for symptomatic relief.

However, you can go for an X-ray and ECG as a part of the preliminary investigation.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Asthma is unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Asthma is unlikely.
If it is asthma, you must be having a strong family history and recurrent attacks from childhood. Most importantly asthma is aggravated by dust.
Severe acid reflux can cause similar symptoms and I suggest you to get an endoscopy done.
Thanks
