Specific Skills and Interests
Having had the opportunity to teach, medical students, residents, Special Operations Combat Medics, Paramedics and, most importantly, patients I have received tremendous feedback on my ability to communicate. I have had many, many requests from ED patients to become their Primary Care Physician. I believe this is because I take the time to explain to the patient, whether through words or often with very simple "sketches", exactly what the nature of their specific condition might be whether it be heart failure, atrial fibrillation, or a simple rash. While teaching, I received extremely positive feedback from my residents. On two occasions over a 1.5 year period, I received Instructor of the Class awards from the Special Operations Combat Medics.
