I had protected sex with a sex worker, she used the massage oil on the condom, I hear those oils can deteriorate the condom, but I didn't notice that it broke or anything. 2 weeks later I have a sore throat and a dull ache in the groin are, along with red/yellowish eyes, also appears to be a rash right under my neck in front, have had this for over 2 weeks going on 3. Are these signs of acute hiv, what are my risks here.

doctor1 MD

i was diagnosed with spondylosis way back late 1990's based on MRI when i was on my early 30's. Now I am 46. Just yesterday, with another x-ray, I went to a chiropractor. He told me, based on xray, that I have subluxation. Pain, dizziness, heaviness on ears, back pain, severe right shoulder pain, jaw locking, insomnia, irritability, heaviness on right arm, retention becomes unsharp and striking pain on the right part of the head are the most common things that I observed.

Can the damage on my spine be reversed? What will I do? Will I need to see a chiropractor or who is the right person who can help me.Questions like Can I still drive knowing prolong sitting and and prolong lifting or arms is discomfort. I am studying (classroom-based) , and I feel discomfort too even with the chair the school provides to me. One time, we have a test, I felt dizzy as I bowed my head longer.

What activities will I restrain knowing that there are activities that I need to do but give discomfort that I am afraid can aggrevate too?
thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for posting your query. I have gone through the details and I shall try providing you with useful information pertaining to your concerns.

Subluxation or protrusion of intervertebral disc is usually the result of ongoing spondylosis / straining. It would have been better if you had...

Hi there: I attended a session with Dr. Masgutova on Saturday, where she described a way to massage the cheekbones to help integrate infant reflexes. (This is her specialty.) Her instructions were to put a finger underneat the zygoma bones, and to press out and toward the ear laterally. It is now Friday and the bottom part of this area still hurts. It feels a bit like a low-leve tooth pain (in that it's a constant ache).

1. Is anything else located there that couldhave gotten hurt? Like a sinus?
2. Got any advice?

thanks!
XXXXXXX

doctor1 MD

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
By pressing underneath the zygoma bones, you are not likely to hurt any important structures or sinuses. Sometimes an extreme tissue pressure can cause some soft tissue damage causing the pain. This is likely to subside on its own without any specific...

I was hit hard in the face about 10 days ago, the ER took a CT-Scan and found no broken bones. however, my cheek is still extremely swollen and painful. Should I be seen by another dr.? How long should it take the swelling to dissipate?

doctor1 MD

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

You might have soft tissue injury over your cheek as on CT-scan there is no any fracture.

Soft tissue injury should resolve with time, but even 3 weeks may not be long enough.

Continue using ice, gentle massage, and protected activity.

If this swelling...

I have had head pressure for about 10 years from one degree to another. I've been to pain docs, chiropractic, massage therapy, physical therapy, had MRI's, CAT scans, etc. (I had a cervical discectomy in 2002 for a herniated disk btw. 4&5.) The pressure is all on the right side from the base of my skull to top and face. My right shoulder is tense too. The latest massage therapist mentioned lymph nodes, so I started researching this possibility. Could I have chronic swollen lymph nodes that have never been addressed? Is there treatment?

doctor1 MD

Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
Unfortunately in medicine not always is possible to find the diagnose or there are a lot of syndromes and diseases which diagnose is made by clinical reasing and never confirmed by examinations
In my opinion you should consult a neurologist and...

After a colonic, I began doing my rather vigorous abdominal exercises. On this particular occasion, I developed severe cramping in my right obliques, causing a hardening in that area that remains today. It has been over a year now. I was told it was nothing serious, but I seem more prone to muscle strain on that side, and I believe it restricts my range of motion, especially in my golf swing. How do I fix this Doc?

doctor1 MD

Hello and thanks for the query.

For your complaints, I think you will need some physical therapy. A physical therapist will be able to perform a thorough assessment and generate a treatment plan which will include some stretching exercises as well as some exercises to strengthen the muscles on...

My second MRI stated, "extensive metallic artifact debris thoughout the right shoulder from prior surgical intervention, particularly at the insertion of the suprespinatus and infraspinatus. this renders evaluation of the two rotator cuff tendons limited, however there is no appreciable muscle edema or atrophy to suggest retraction. Could you tell me what this means other than I'll have pain in my shoulder for my remainding days. Thank you very much

doctor1 MD

Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query.

The report says metal used during previous surgery is posing interference with computers reading the scan. Nevertheless you have nothing to worry. I read the report you attached and there are some minor problems, nothing major physically present in...

I have R.S.D. & I have not been able to financially keep up with that condition (for me acupuncture , massage therapy & exercise are my preferred therapy) ~ I have been dealing with RSD for over 20 yrs and I am a 46yr female. I have a new situation ... when I eat any amount of food & any type of food I become extremely tired after eating and find myself needing to sleep very soon after. No amount of caffeine or exterior input has helped with this feeling or even being up & moving around doing anything (housework, driving, being out with others, etc) .... need help or suggestion.
