After getting thyroid I have noticed that my blood flow during periods have reduced but it was considerable and regular. I was getting my periods at every 28 days. Gradually It is getting decreased day by day. Now I get my Periods sometimes in 25 days, sometimes in 27, 28 days but before 30 days. It lasts for 4-5 days The amount of blood flow has also reduced and there is no such high bleeding on second day. What is the problem? Will I get pregnant?

doctor1 MD

Hi . I have been diagnosed with hypothyrosis and am under hormone replacement therapy. I had a moderate hair loss and the dermatologist put me under minoxidyl. No very significant improvement but I read that minoxidyl should not be used in hypothyrosis. Could you please advice if I should use minoxidyl and if the thyroid problem that I have is somehow related to the hair loss and it will not improve.

Iam 55 years old and is menopausal. I am experiencing most of the symptoms of menopause and have seen an obgyn doctor about 4 different times for the same advice of starting a HRT Regimen but I am deathly afraid of the side effects, warnings and clinical studies. With that said, I know there will be risks associated with ANY method of HRT I decide on. My question is what would you recommend that would be as close to natural/ bio-identical HRT as possible that would offer the least amount of risks? I know also that the less years of treatment for any HRT regimen is safer.

Hi, I am a 57 year old female who had a hysterectomy at age 28 due to 2 Class 4 paps. I am an RN and was than employed by the OB-GYN. The doctor suggested it. I have not taken hormone replacements. I have seen 2 doctors in the last 7-8 months, I know I have vaginal dryness but I know bleed when I wipe and burn to open areas. There is a slight itch which I took 2 doses of Diflucan. My girlfriend who is an ER nurse looked today and said it looked like I have cellulitis. It hhas kept me up thru the night and I am very uncomfortable.I have called the Bioidentical Hormone replacement therapy md s. None take insurance, it is all self pay, which I can not afford, My daughter is a breat cancer survivor, which is one reason I avoided hormones. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You
