If you do not have any problem with hearing you need not wear any hearing aid. You can use the hearing aid if you have any problem with the hearing only.

A Baha will be ideal in your case, with the implant on the deaf side. You may take a trial with a Baha, preferably the Cochlear Baha BP-100 before you decide. What you experience during the trial will be improved by 15-20% after the implant. It takes three months for the implant to osseointegrate.

I recently had back surgery on 3/17/17. I was given hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5-325. I have not taken any of these pills since returning home on 3/18/17. My ears are stopped up and I am afraid that I might be losing my hearing. a couple of years I was given diclofenac and did lose some hearing to the extent that I needed hearing aides. Is hearing lose a side effect of hydrocodone-acetaminophen?

Hi Doctor,

One of my cousin has loss of hearing from birth. She taking consultation at Aliyavar Jung National Institute since longtime. She 9yrs now and after her recent audiological assessment has been adviced to change her hearing aid. As per the consultant the hearing aid has a self life of 3yrs and the device has to be change every 3yrs.
