Genetic counseling

What is Genetic counseling?

Genetic counseling is recommended for couples contemplating childbirth who have a history of known genetic disorders in their family. The counseling is intended to inform the couple of the risk of their progeny acquiring whatever genetic disorder has been a part of their heritage. The inheritance pattern is different for various genetic disorders.
