What is Rotavirus?

Rotavirus is highly contagious disease that infects infants and young children that causes severe diarhhea, fever and vomiting. Vaccination is available for this infection. Un-vaccinated children up till age 3-4 years become infected. It generally resolves on its own but care is needed as dehydration is the major clinical effect of this infection.
