I'm a married woman, mother of 3 children, 42yrs old. Tubal ligation 5yrs ago. My problem is, I've been feeling a hard lump on my stomach for around a year now. It only hurts when I touch on it or bump unto something. I can feel it only standing up. Do you recommend an endoscopy? What could it be? I'm worried now. My PC said nothing when I mentioned it to her. Thanks so much! Grace

I am 43 years and have had a tubal ligation about 7 years back. I have missed my periods . I have done a scan and Beta HCG, to rule out pregnancy. All are negative. Have taken deviry 30 mg daily for 5 days. Today is the 10th day after this, still no periods. Scan is normal and shows 6 mm thick endometrium.

What follow up do I need?

doctor1 MD

hi,
It looks like your hormonal levels are disturbed and so, the ovaries are not responding to a kick-back. It could be a normal feature if you have entered the perimenopausal stage. Having ruled out pregnancy in every possible way, the only cause seems to be decreased hormones which you can get...

I had a tubal ligation and leep procedure 9 days ago. I am still having the black charcoal-like discharge which smells foul. I know i was instructed not to douche (and I normally don t...) but the smelly discharge was driving me bonkers so I used a vinegar/water douche solution 1:3. Immediately after douching (I did not insert the nozzle more than a centimeter into my vaginal opening) I developed moderate cramping. The charcoal-like chemical discharge seems to be eliminated. My questions are; 1. Is it normal to have cramping after douching? 2. Is the foul smelling discharge normal? 3. Could my douching with the solution mentioned above cause damage? 4. How long will the smelly discharge last?
