It is also one of 5 classes of lipoproteins.It is called good lipoproteins because HDL can remove cholesterol from atheroma within arteries, and transport it back to the liver for excretion or re-utilization.It is advised to consume fishes and polyunsaturated fat containing oils to increase its level in blood.
