What is Gut flora?
Certain micro organisms present in the intestines of animals called Gut flora. These micro organisms get energy from the undigested food especially carbohydrates present in the intestine. Gut flora perform a useful functions such as preventing growth of harmful bacteria, producing the vitamins for the host.
