What is Zometa?

Zometa is Zoledronic acid belongs to the family of medications known as bisphosphonates. It is used to treat hypercalcemia (high blood calcium). Zometa is used to prevent skeletal fractures in patients with cancers such as multiple myeloma and prostate cancer, as well as for treating osteoporosis.
