What is Tetrabenazine?

Tetrabenazine is a drug for the symptomatic treatment of hyperkinetic movement disorder.Tetrabenazine works mainly as a VMAT-inhibitor and as such promotes the early metabolic degradation of monoamines, in particular the neurotransmitter dopamine.
