Rivastigmine

What is Rivastigmine?

This is a drug used to cure dementia, which belongs to the group of cholinergic drugs. It is a choline esterase inhibitor, i.e. it stops the breakdown of choline by the enzyme choline-esterase. It causes significant improvement of memory of patients with Alzheimer's disease.
