Rivaroxaban

What is Rivaroxaban?

Rivaroxaban is an oral anticoagulant that can be used to reduce the risk of blood clots ( stroke or thrombosis ) in high risk patients. Rivaroxaban is used to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT, a blood clot, usually in the leg) and pulmonary embolism (PE, a blood clot in the lung). Rivaroxaban works by decreasing the clotting ability of the blood.
