What is Remeron?

Remeron (mirtazapine) is a tetracyclic antidepressant. Remeron is used to treat major depressive disorder. Mirtazapine elevates mood by raising the level of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine and serotonin) in nerves of the brain. Mirtazapine also blocks the effect of histamine.
