I have taken Imodium branded over the counter medication for control of systoms of -diarrhea and gas pain. I found the "Multi-symptom Chewable tablets worked best. These tablets contained Loperamide HCI 2mg and Simethicone 125mg. I can no longer find this product at my local pharmacy or durg store.
Has it been taken off the market ? if so why and is there any acceptable alternative ? I have taken other Imodium products but none seem to work as well.

doctor1 MD

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

My baby to be 5 month old in a week is vomitting alot. He had been doing so from the time he was born. My doctor didnt worry much as he was gaining weight. Its been unbearable for last couple of days. When I consulted the doctor, he asked me to use emeset syrup(0.5 cc) three times a day before feeding. I want to know whether is it safe to use for infants. Also please let me know if it could be anything that i should check for.
