Parcopa

What is Parcopa?

Carbidopa/levodopa (sometimes referred to as levocarb) is the combination of carbidopa and levodopa and is used to treat Parkinson's disease, dopamine-responsive dystonia (DRD), and off-label for the treatment of Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD). It has also been researched as an adjunct in the treatment of amblyopia and the results were significantly better than in the placebo group. It is sold under several brand names, including Sinemet, Pharmacopa, Atamet, and Apo-Levocarb. The generic name under the British Approved Name system is Co-careldopa.
