What is Ornidazole?

Ornidazole is an antiamoebic agent, prescribed for amoebic dysentery. It is also used in treatment of parasitic infections, including amebiasis, giardiasis, and Trichomonas vaginalis; treatment of infections due to susceptible strains of anaerobic bacteria.
