Opioid analgesics are the drugs which act on the opioid receptors like mu, kappa, delta. These are the receptors for pain, scattered all over the body from the brain, to the skin. Morphine, pethidine, fentanyl, sufentanyl and codiene are the licensed narcotic opioid drugs.
