What is Medroxyprogesterone 17-acetate?

Medroxy-progesterone 17 acetate is used in following conditions . Menorrhagis, Mild to moderate endometriosis, As progesterone component in menopausal hormonal replacement therapy' Breast cancer, Palliative treatment of endometrial & renal carcinoma, secondary amenorrhoea, palliative treatment of prostatic carcinona. Dose is 2-5 -10 mg daily ( maximum 2 gm daily ) depending upon various dis.
