Long-term memory

What is Long-term memory?

when we can memorize an memory for prolonged period then it called long term memory. e.g.- incidents of far past, childhood events etc. Long term memory is stored in the neo-cortex. it is not stored here abruptly, the memory first stored at hippocampus as a short term memory, then we have to re-capitulate this memory for several times to convert it into long term memory.
