What is Indapamide?

Indapamide is thiazide-like diuretic drug used in treatment of hypertension and edema due to congestive cardiac failure. Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, severe renal failure, hepatic encephalopathy or severe hepatic failure and hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels).
