My bf shoots heroin and put a little of the liquid heroin in my mouth I think. About a pea size amount. I felt really good. But he says he didn t do it afterwards. I was buzzed on vodka at the time so I m questioning if I imagined it all. He said we fucked for an hour then I passed out. I can only remember about 5-10 minutes. It was great though. I feel like I want more. I felt so good. Do u think I was given heroin? Or just drunk?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

It is not possible to say what substance you were given because you say that you don't remember properly what happened. Since you were in an intoxicated state and had a black-out subsequently, you are not able to recall all the events...

I have had a sharp pain in my kidney or something around that area of my stomach for about 5 hours, the pain started after i IV d a little bit of speed and heroin together. I have only done speed a few times the past few years. I am a daily heroin user. I don t remember ever having a pain there, and for this long. any suggestions?
Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. A combination of speed and heroin can make your condition worse with worsening of your gastritis which can appear as sharp pain in your stomach, or having a perforated gastric ulcer which needs immediate surgical attention. I believe the first point of...

use of drugs can have effects on the person acutely.
however if you have taken IV, the most common complication is thrombophlebitis of the veins.
the baby will be affected only if the drugs are taken during pregnancy.
i would advise you to consult your physician and get a thorogh check up...

What is the cost of your consultation? My 36 year old son has been a long-time alcoholic and drug abuser. During the past year he started using heroin . He s tried to detox on his own several times but always went back. He used methadone for some period, and a few months ago he went to a doctor who prescribed Suboxone . Supposedly this doctor said my son was fairly healthy. As far as I can tell, my son didn t follow the plan and so eventually went back to methadone and/or heroin. He lives in Colorado but this week I brought him back to Georgia so I could help him during the detox process. Now I find he is in much worse physical condition than I could imagine, this after seeing him for Christmas. During the past two months he starting shooting black tar heroin, whereas before he said he was smoking it only. He is 6 3 and probably weighs less than 130. He appears jaundiced to me, but he said the heroin made his skin turn that color. He has no muscle mass at all, where he used to be broad shouldered and strong. I fear for his life. His last dose was about 18-24 hours ago, and now he is so week he cannot open a can. I had to help him hold a bowl of soup earlier, My question is - and I know you cannot diagnose without examining him, but do you think he is in immediate danger? He s been very resistent to seeing a doctor or going to an emergency room, but I will call an ambulance if necessary. Would you recommend going to an emergency room, seeing a medical doctor or psychiatrist? Also, he is penniless. He did work as a computer systems engineer, but now he can hardly turn on the computer.

Please take him to the ER as soon as possible. I feel he is jaundiced, as you suspected. He would find it difficult to go through the withdrawal process without medical help. Till then keep giving him lots of fluids. This time, once he is detoxified, try putting him on naltrexone to keep him...

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Using a concoction of drugs may lead to death. I would advise you to please seek help in your area, and if you have a person that you trust in your family or otherwise, please do so as soon as you can. I believe that you will also be fine with stopping the...

I am a LTC nurse and sent a pt to the ER today she has ESRD, Type 1 DM, non compliant with diet. Yesterday was fine. FSBS are up and down. This am she was SOB, face swollen with periorbital edema, pale and tachy all other Vital signs were stable. She said she was in DKA because this had happened several times before. After she left the facility for the ER we found 2 dirty needles/syringes with suspicious brown material that looked like Heroin. My question is could the Heroin(if in fact that it is heroin) cause DKA or hyperglycemia?

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

It is likely that the doctor is increasing your partner's dose of methadone on the strong suspicion that your husband is continuing to take opiates. You have mentioned that his urine samples are testing positive for opiates and he had...
