Hi! My husband has had 3 heart attacks in his life and a stroke. He has been on warfarin for 40 years on doses of up to 15mg daily. Recently he had a pacemaker and fibrillator put in. His doctor changed his tablets from warfarin to Xarelto 20mg 2 weeks ago. 3 days ago he had an episode like a heart attack and on an ECG today it showed some abnormal heart activity at that time. My question is could the change from warfarin to Xarelto have caused a problem?? He has also been on champix to stop smoking for 3 months. I am really concerned about this. Can you offer any suggestion here??

Is arterial fibrillation particularly dangerous in this context? (I just realised I haven t got an emergency number for my GP)

Hello Doctor , My husband is trying to quit smoking . He started taking Champix and he is in his second week now where he started taking 2 tablets daily of 1 mg. The feeling of nausea started from day 1 of taking the medicine. But now when the dosage has increased he is feeling much tired and his heart is beating fast since he took the morning tablet today. He also feels hot and then feels cold ... Is this normal? or should he stop taking the tablets? By the way, he is still smoking but fewer than before. Appreciate your Advise. AAAAAAA
