What is Avelox?

It is a potent antibiotic frequently used to treat serious upper respiratory infections. It belongs to the group of AB called fluoroquinolones, which is only important if you are allergic or to make you aware of the potential side effect of tendon rupture (Achilles tendon or elsewhere in body). It is usually not used first, but only if someone didn't get better on other antibiotics first.
