Dear Marcia,

Lansoloc (pharmacologically Lansoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor which acts by preventing acid formation in stomach, thus providing relief from stomach ulcers.
Though they are not associated with headaches as side effect, the headache can be attributed to any other cause like...

My wife has been on the Nuva ring for about six months now, she just told me today she thinks she may be pregnant. She shows signs of fatique, feeling sick, mood swings, tension headaches, shes noticed lactation as well. She's worried, we got pregnancy tests and plan to see a doctor but, how likely is it that this is pregnancy? Could this just be the side effects of the nuva ring, especially with the lactation? thank you for any insight.
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

If your wife has been using the new ring correctly, 9which means leaving it in for at least three weeks, taking the ring out for one week, and replacing it with a new ring) there is no reason to suspect pregnancy as the ring is greater than 99% effective as...

For a couple of weeks I'm getting repeated feelings of 'fizzing' in my head, almost as if it's going to explode. Tension in the shoulders and neck and head. I think it's stress related, but I'm not consciously stressed - however, it only happens when I think about work or travel etc. Not when I'm just sitting relaxing.
I don't know if it IS 'mental health' or a physical problem - my blood pressure goes up when I'm anxious, but is fine otherwise

Thanks for your query.

The symptoms you mention are very typically seen in tension headache.

Well, such symptoms to appear it does not need for the person to have noticeable stress. This happens when the ones threshold for such a physiological derangement is reduced.

Tension headache is very...

Hi, I am kind of scared but not sure if I should go to the ER or wait this out. Last night, I felt a weird, slight "numbness" (not really loss of feeling, just an underlying weird "tight" sensation in my right eye, sort of around the eye more) and into my right ear a little bit. This morning when I woke up, I had the same thing and a right temple headache as well. It is not severe, but persistent. I took 3 advil to no avail. I took a hot shower. It didn't seem to help. My neck and shoulders are sore as well so I thought tension headache but am concerned because I don't normally get headaches and the weird "almost numb" around the eye and ear are troubling. I am going into menopause (have not had a period for 6 months now) and have had more frequent headaches but not anything like this. Should I worry? Please help me decide what to do. I don't want to freak out but I don't want to miss something major. I am otherwise very healthy, I don't eat junk food, I am a vegetarian and I take magnesium, Vit D3, folic acid, and Vit C daily. It seems to get a little more "tight" when I do certain movements but feels the same when I sit still. Since I am normally very healthy, I get scared when something odd happens to me. I appreciate your expertise and opinion.
