My mother took Ospen yesterday for a Borrellia infection.
Now she says that her joints and tendons hurt a little.

Since I got big side effects from an antibiotic we are a little scared.
Can Ospen cause these side effects?

Probably not side effect of Ospen

I was poisoned by quinolines a number of years ago with major neuromuscular and cellular damage. One of the problems is blood pressure that is highly variable and occasionally goes into stroke range, which is quite frightening. I have been tried on every category of blood pressure medication and have been unable to tolerate any. I currently control it to some degree with medical marijuana, but would prefer not to. I am a 74 year old male. I am in excellent physical condition, as is possible. I have mitochondrial damage, so I have limited ATP production, so when the tank runs out, I start to have severe muscle spasms. Any ideas to control the BP? I forgot to mention that I've also been dealing with Meniere's for the past 30 years.

Dear Doctor: I am experiencing fairly acute Achilles Tendon pain. It is above the ankle, and at the bottom of the calf. Is it possible that I am about to rupture it? Does it ever warn you, or does it just rupture? Thanks, XXXXXXX XXXX.

I am experiencing fairly acute pain in the Achilles tendon area. The pain seems to be coming from above the ankle along the back of the leg. It is also at the lower calf muscle area. Is this an indication of a possible rupture. Is there ever a warning that it's going to rupture, or does it just rupture?

Spontaneous rupture is rare!

I think I became infected with Gonorrea five years ago from unprotected sex with a lady. I have not had any genital symptoms then or now, however now I am having symptoms of systemic Gonorrea. Some strange looking white spots on face, tendon pain, some joint pain including my neck. Fatigue and a cough with thick phlegm.
Is it possible for systemic Gonorrea to slowly develop over five to six years and now I'm getting really sick from the Gonorrea in my blood?
Recently I took Gonorrea oral Swab and urine tests that were negative however I would assume that they would be negative if the Gonorrea was indeed systemic.

doctor1 MD

Brief Answer:
Not likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This is not likely to be systemic gonnorhea which is rarity today and it is uncommon that it develops after such delay. Your symptoms are nonspecific and may include any systemic infection or autoimmune inflammation. I suggest to see...

I've been suffering from planters fasciitis for almost 2 years. The pain was mostly in my heel & arch. It was getting slowly better with lots of stretching & no tennis. What has been happening lately is the pain seems to have migrated to my Achilles. It can be quite bad at times, feels like a tight, stretched rope. Should I be concerned or just keep working though it?

doctor1 MD

You must not ignore it.

Detailed Answer:
