What is Tay–sachs disease?

Tay–Sachs disease (also known as GM2 gangliosidosis or hexosaminidase A deficiency ) is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder. Tay-Sachs disease is a rare inherited disorder that progressively destroys nerve cells (neurons) in the brain and spinal cord.
